Good-bye getafreelancer.com

Today I’ve decided to remove my account from getafreelancer.com. I haven’t used it for a few years anyway, but there were some private details about me hanging there.

Funny situation:

I used their help desk to ask for my account removal because they don’t have a simple email address or form. Next I received an email telling me that my ticket was answered (without including the answer). Now all I had to do was log in and check their response. By this time my account was already suspended, so I couldn’t do that!

You should’ve just created a new account, log in, ticket them about your lost answer and reinstate your account, log out, log in on the old account, see the answer, ticket them to suspend your account again and problem solved.

Hi. i would just like to ask if getafreelancer.com would charge me money if I cancel my account? I really can’t understand their instructions. Please do help me. I have gotten a project but something important came up and I wasn’t able to do the project. They said that I have received $5 in my account. I am very much confused. How do i get myself suspended from that site? That site really sucks. I do hope to get a reply from you.

@eissa I don’t see any reason why they should charge money for canceling accounts.
Try contacting them about removing your account.
